Help your child learn Spanish better, become bilingual with support from a Certified-Native Spanish Teacher
I am Sra. (Mrs.) Morato, I am a passionate Spanish instructor, homeschool mom, and online curriculum and course designer. I help English-speaking parents educate bilingual children. I know what it takes to learn a second language; I understand the fear and the insecurities of speaking it. For 16 years, I taught at Fairfax County Public School IB Spanish and Immersion classes. Since 1998, I have been teaching hundreds of students to learn Spanish better and to speak the language. I went back to school to get my master’s in online teaching and curriculum designer. As a curriculum creator, I integrate technology into my teaching, using engaging online teaching strategies for language acquisition.
Today, I help parents educate bilingual children even when they do not speak Spanish. My curriculum supports students all over the United States, from Virginia, Texas, Idaho, Oregon, Tennessee, Alaska, California, South Korea, and Germany, including homeschool co-ops. Some of my students have continued studying Spanish successfully at Northern Virginia Community College, UVA, Virginia Tech, Regent University, Willian & Mary, Virginia Wesleyan University, Pitt University, and more!
My core values:
I believe learning a language should not be approached as a subject or skill first but as a way to connect with people. Languages are people. I coach students to study Spanish because they want to connect with the Hispanic culture.
To become bilingual, learners need more than one learning source. I use technology to empower families to learn Spanish at their own pace and motivation.
